- 1) Hmmm - why didn't you quote the pertinent passage from my post?
-
- > Anyway, I'm NOT complaining about the developement time. I'm complaining
- >about the misinformation. I haven't had a chance to pull out the old
- >magazines, . . .
-
- 2) My understanding was that LW is being written to the Win32s spec which IS
- available. This allows the program to run well under NT, Windows and the yet
- to be released Windows XX.
-
- 3) I'm taking John G's word about the 5 months. But I know I knew about the
- ports 5 months ago and I have NO inside information. At that time everything
- I knew was from widely available published sources. I was left with the
- impression that the package would be released much sooner. Maybe I misread
- something. I am going to double check. I was also later told 1st quarter '95
- - which almost surely won't happen.
-
- 4) I have at least two relationships to LW. I'm an enthusiast and I'm a
- customer. As an enthusiast, I actively support LW and recommend it to others
- on other forums. NewTek has my support! As a customer I would like realistic
- (not necessarily exact - just realistic) estimates because I am making
- business decisions related to this product.
-
- 5) I did volunteer to beta-test (for selfish reasons of course, but I am
- willing to lend appropriate assistance and support).
-
- 6) If I had LW for Windows, I'd be spending much less time on the Internet. I
- have better things to do. Unfortunately some of them depend on this product.
-
- 7) I have nothing but admiration for Stuart's (Steve ??) and Allen's work
- and I hope that none of my posts cause them personal grief of any sort. If
- they do. I am sorry.
